About Conservatively Speaking

We the People
Message from the Show Host:
I don’t hate people. Any people.

But I do hate ideologies that run against the plans, beliefs and dreams of our Founding Fathers.
It’s not about religion…as I don’t share that with any of the Founding Fathers.
It’s not about money.
It’s not about race.
And it’s not about any particular bias or bigotry that may have been in the hearts of our Founding Fathers.
What it is about is a few simple ideas that were the basis of the formation of this country:

1. The government is an arm of the people. It serves to carry out the desires of the public. Not vice versa.

2. Free men (and free women) are all born with the same rights and their own dreams, and the government should never interfere with either.

3. Your rights end where my rights begin. No one’s rights shall be superior to another’s.

4. Taxes are levied to allow the government to satisfy the directives of the American people. They are not sent to Washington to use as bureaucrats see fit.

5. The government is responsible to protect the public from all threats, foreign and domestic.

6. The government will not pick or choose a religion for me or any other person. The freedom to believe and exercise my religion is none of the government’s business. Nor shall the government infringe on my right to express my religion.

7. Government will be no larger than necessary to carry out the will of the American people. as Thomas Jefferson said, “A government large enough to give you everything you want, is large enough to take away everything you have.”

8. As long as my actions do not infringe on the rights of another, they are of no concern to any person, department, agency or other arm of the government, be it state or federal.

These are just some of the most basic ideas behind this land we call America. Each basic tenent can be discected into one or many laws, however no law can change the basic premise, that being the freedom of the people as defined in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. These are not documents intended to be re-interpreted due to technology or changing social morays. If the People believe these documents need to modified, they provided for that in amendments. Not interpretations. And they made such amendment a difficult process requiring a super-majority to enact, because to change these documents is such a serious process.

It is the wisdom of the founders of this country that has served us quite well for over 200 years. Progressives and Liberals (two branches of the same rotting tree) believe they know better than those who formed this country. If they must rewrite history to achieve their goals, they will. If they must frame their arguments with a lie, they will. If they must obliterate those who don’t believe as they do, they will. They are the anti-founders. They wish to redefine this country in their vision. We must as Americans defend the country from all attempts to change the vision of the Founding Fathers.
